The website was great, ordering and delivery was quick and efficient. The directions were simple and easy to follow. The issue is after I installed the new filter there was no difference in the water quality. I have a water tester I received with my water jug, Zero Water. The readings were exactly the same before and after I installed the filter. 200 plus Euros is expensive for no change in quality. Was excited to use this product to help with taking care of wife's long hair. Guess I have to keep looking for a quality product

So, when our customers use a TDS meter, what they find is that the reading both before and after the water has gone through the Black Berkey elements about the same. And they are correct. The Black Berkey elements do not take out all of the beneficial minerals. Thus, of the things that a TDS meter will actually detect, the Black Berkey elements will only remove the unwanted heavy metals such as lead and mercury as well as sedimentary minerals such as iron oxide and aluminum. Therefore, your TDS reading will not change much unless you have a significant amount of heavy metals or sedimentary minerals in your water.
A TDS meter does not measure the amount of biological and chemical contaminants. The important thing is to not simply rely on a TDS meter for your measure of whether your water is good. You can have low TDS count water that has harmful bacteria in it. You can have high TDS count water that is perfectly safe (e.g. – pure, unpolluted ocean saltwater…albeit, you wouldn’t drink it, but that’s only because the mineral is salt). Thus, make sure you know what your TDS meter is actually telling you.
We will need to see official lab test results to have a better understanding of what we're dealing with, but you are correct in that a test strip is not the optimal way to test the purified water. Here in the United States, we recommend that our customers perform a Red Food Coloring Test on the Black Berkey® Purifiers.

The technical notice is not so easy to understand for a non-native English speaker and it took us a lot of time for assembling our system.
It should be better to have only 1 notice per system because we were not sure at one time, if 1 piece mentioned in the notice (but not present in our parcel), was for our 5.7 Liters system or for another model.
Consequently; we can't give you the 5 stars that your system would deserve.
Anyway, it was a pleasure to rediscover the real taste of water!

I just set the unit up a few days ago, followed all the instructions and did the dye trial. I have to say I'm very impressed with the product. The water filtration is slow but that's exactly what I was expecting. The filtered water is exceptionally good. To keep this short I would highly recommend this product. I am also very happy with the size I purchased, I would have regretted it I got a smaller one as we use a lot of water. In the long run this is going to save us a lot of space in the kitchen and money.
Berkey filters work as you want them to and they need little attention.
They are much easier to use and replace than an under the sink option too.
I am confused as to why the TDS in the water from the Berkeley filter read 274 when the tap water I put in it was only 117 !

I followed all the instructions but it was almost impossible to get the filters to bleed as they should have done without water squiring out everywhere or nothing happening.. Eventually got them set up but dripping extremely fast… Not sure if this was right or not.. several days have passed and maybe they’ve slowed a little so hopefully going forward they will be ok..

Delighted with replaced spigot, unfortunately the delivery cost was nearly double the price.
Easy transaction, fast delivery, well packaged. Very good value especially considering the benefit they provide - perfectly clean water! I have purchased these as a spare set - just in preparation for when I might need to change the existing filters that have already been in daily use, for over 5 years.
Besides that our "drinkable" water is now so much more healthier to drink, it also tastes great now. Just don't be as silly as me and keep topping up the water in the top....make sure that there is enough room in the bottom tank for it as it will overflow through the middle...yes, I know...ofcourse...
